Annenberg Media
Annenberg TV News
Annenberg Media was the cornerstone of my time at USC, and much of my involvement can be seen on the publication’s YouTube channel, showcasing its tapings of its live English-language news broadcast, Annenberg TV News (ATVN). ATVN ran shows Monday through Thursday, with Thursday’s edition focusing on a particular theme — known as See It Live. I was a producer for the Monday broadcasts, working as lead, video and graphics, alternating with my two co-producers and collaborating with our executive producer (EP) and EP shadow. The show aired at 5:30 p.m. — a deadline we never missed. Our days began with 8:30 a.m. pitch meetings, during which all producers pitched at least two stories and met with radio EPs and the morning shift of multimedia journalists. Overall, I managed a team of 15-20 multimedia journalists weekly. Skim through the shows listed below to see some of my favorite work!

Lead producer: Harvard maintains independence against the federal government | ATVN Monday April 14, 2025
This was my last shot at lead producing, and I’d like to believe it was my best yet. Responsibilities for lead producers include, but are not limited to: stacking the show (deciding the order of stories, what elements they each get, how much time to allot to each of them, etc.); writing the top of the show, teases and superteases; communicating routinely with fellow producers; notifying talent of all changes while on air and more.
This show had it all — breaking news about Harvard’s response to the Trump administration’s list of demands (which I wrote into the top of the show), some fun student-filmed footage from Coachella and more. I was most proud of the conversational tone in my welcome and teases, as broadcast writing can be more challenging than one might think.
Video producer: The Trump administration reaches 100 days in office | ATVN Monday April 28, 2025
Though I’d grown fond of every role I held in Annenberg’s Media Center, that of video producer was my favorite. I found genuine enjoyment and fulfillment in assigning stories to a team of 15-30 multimedia journalists and volunteers, sitting alongside them to offer insight as they clipped their interviews, sourcing b-roll from CNN Newsource and social media, etc.
Our final broadcast of the Spring 2025 semester — and my undergraduate career — featured the lead story of an analysis of President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office, new LA Metro safety measures, a look at how the Los Angeles Natural History Museum is preserving nature, and more.
Graphics producer: LA beaches fill with Palisades and Eaton fire waste | ATVN Monday February 24, 2025
Graphics producers were tasked not with making the graphics themselves, but with ordering them. This tested our communication skills — we had to articulate exactly what we wanted for our broadcasts’ graphics, right down to colors and icons.
For this show in particular, I ordered a map graphic for our story about the fire debris along the Southern California coastline following the Los Angeles wildfires, a title graphic for our segment, “Lost in the Fires,” which detailed stories of loss following wildfire devastation and a list of measles symptoms for a story on the disease’s outbreaks across the country.

InformaTV
InformaTV is USC’s only Spanish-language news broadcast, supported by Dímelo, the school’s sole Spanish-language news desk. The show was founded in 2022 prior to my attendance. I joined in 2024, initially as a contributor — recording voiceovers for packages and cutting b-roll. My role evolved into post-production editor within mere months, and I became responsible for sourcing footage, editing it in Adobe Premiere Pro, uploading it into Ross Inception ahead of show time and adding all correlating essential graphics. The show ran every other Friday — and I spent each of those mornings huddled over my favorite desktop in the edit bay adding final touches to the pre-production process to ensure the producer’s vision was executed. I was responsible for most last-minute edits made to the show during run-throughs, and once those were addressed, I’d sometimes fulfill miscellaneous roles like teleprompter, stage manager or camera director.
